ABOUT
Claire Sichez is a French screenwriter and director of animated films. Her films immerse viewers in unique and striking graphic universes created by illustrators whose work complements the stories she envisions. By collaborating on the screenplays of other directors, she dives into different perspectives and explores alternative ways of storytelling. Her short film Moi j’attends, featuring the voice of André Dussolier and based on the book by Serge Bloch and Davide Cali, won an honorary award at the Cinanima Festival in 2014 and was a finalist at the 2015 Cartoon d'Or. Iâhmès et la Grande Dévoreuse, co-directed with Marine Rivoal, was selected by the Animation Committee of the Academy of Arts and Techniques of Cinema to compete for the 2017 César for Best Animated Short Film. Her latest film, L'Amour en plan, was selected in over fifty festivals, including Annecy, and won awards at the BIAF Festival in South Korea and the Bit Bang Festival in Argentina.
